As the choreographer for we the same, an award-winning play by Ruby Slippers Theatre, I contributed to this powerful production’s emotional and visual storytelling. The play tells the poignant story of a Vietnamese mother recounting her harrowing journey of fleeing Vietnam to her daughter. My choreography, inspired by the traditional Cham ritual dance, captured the resilience, love, and humanity at the heart of this multicultural and multidisciplinary theatrical experience.
